Zombie spend

What is zombie spend?

Zombie spend refers to ongoing expenses for services, tools, or subscriptions that a company is paying for, but is not actively using or deriving value from. It’s like financial deadweight dragging on the company’s bottom line and can often go unnoticed without diligent tracking.

These could be software subscriptions, unused office spaces, or underutilized services that aren't adding value to your business operations. To identify zombie spend, it's important to regularly review your expenses and cut anything that's not contributing to your company's goals. It's all about optimizing your cost structure and making sure every dollar you're spending is driving growth or supporting essential operations.
