Series B

What is Series B?

Series B funding is a type of equity financing where companies receive investment to expand and meet growing demand after successfully passing through the seed and Series A funding rounds. At this stage, companies typically have a well-established foundation and demonstrated traction in the market. The funds are often used for business development, expanding operations, entering new markets, or acquiring other businesses.

Series B investors are typically venture capital firms that specialize in later-stage investments. They're often joined by the earlier investors who want to continue supporting the company. The funds raised in a Series B round can vary widely, but it's typically in the range of $10 to $50 million. Like Series A investors, Series B investors receive preferred shares in the company.
