Form S-1

What Is Form S-1?

The Form S-1 is the form that companies must fill out and file with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) before an IPO. It’s also called the registration statement or simply the S-1.

Companies that want to go public have to disclose various information on the S-1, including how much they want to raise, how they plan to use the funds, their business model, pricing methodology, and their financial statements.
