Venture Capital Associate

What is a Venture Capital Associate?

Associates at venture capital firms are junior members, one step above analyst, and one step below principal.

An associate’s duties may vary depending on the firm and their experience, but they often help with sourcing and executing investments.

On the sourcing end, a VC associate may be responsible for networking with founders and screening leads. If you’re looking for VC funding, a VC associate may be the key to connecting with higher-ups. Senior associates may focus more on deal execution, which can involve doing due diligence on potential investments.
