How many of you are actually using AI at your companies today? Turns out… about a third of you:
In an analysis of 1,949 Pilot customers, 585 paid a foundational AI model provider in March 2024—in other words, 30%.
This is dramatically up from January 2023, where that percentage was a mere 5%.
Unsurprisingly, most of that usage is dominated by OpenAI.
But we recently saw a huge spike in usage for Anthropic, which jumped from a mere 1% adoption in Pilot’s customer base in February 2024, to a much more robust 4% in March, alongside the announcement of Claude 3.
Will that trend continue? We’ll have to report back in a few months.
